My clutch went out a little over a mile from the shop. I had gotten a few quotes but no one could get my car in for 2 weeks. I even had one shop tell me they weren't too familiar with installing clutches. I called Southend. Sam got me all the info I needed and his quote was a little less than the others. Sam told me to tow my car down to the shop same day (even stayed late to get my car in secured in the gates as it was later in the evening). The following morning Mark called me saying he tested my car and only heard a noise. I told Mark about how the entire incident went down and he said he'd get it all taken care of. Mark also took the time to really listen and understand what happened. Sam kept me in the loop throughout the repairs and my car was back on the road in 3 days. My final bill was less than I was quoted. If I'm ever in a jam again and need a shop, this is the shop I'll be returning to. Great job guys!!!

A staff member was sick and unavailable to provide shuttle service, but rather than reschedule the appointment, Southend Auto Care paid for an Uber ride. This is on top of providing their normal excellent work in the shop. Very grateful.

The owner, Mark Hanson, is always available to discuss your auto needs and he encourages you to ask questions when delivering your vehicle to him. I have found the person at the front desk, Sam, to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful in scheduling all your vehicle needs and answering all your questions before and after your appointment. The mechanics working at Southend Auto are very professional and knowledgeable in diagnosing and solving your vehicle's problems. They are the BEST! It is always a pleasure to come and have my car serviced here. Sam and Mike always show me and my family love and to top it off they do excellent work. Always a pleasure to visit a place who will perform necessary repairs and maintenance to a high standard without pushing unnecessary crap. Took in my high mileage but good shape toyota for burning oil smell, South End correctly diagnosed leaking valve covers, modest price repair (~3 hrs labor) Gave a solid assessment of additional needed maintenance, we performed some items and made a calendar for the rest. Example - “power steering fluid was really rough and I’d like to do it again next service. coolant looks great, you’d be wasting your money at this point to change it. “ There is a huge need for private garages for vehicles over 5 years old , between the huge price premium of a dealer and the low quality shops and scary quick lube places. south end is not the very cheapest shop in town. they’re the most honest. that, as the saying goes, is priceless.

Southend Auto Care is an excellent service provider. I have always had wonderful service here dealing with both Mark and Sam. My 1988 Chevy Suburban seems to always need the parts which are not readily available, BUT on this and other occasions Sam finds the parts needed to complete the service required. Mark, owner, has a strong reputation for customer first and he has always lived by that feeling on every vehicle I bring to him. Sam went over and beyond on finding a window regulator for my Suburban and his efforts are deeply appreciated. Thank you to both Mark and Sam! SEE YOU AGAIN VERY SOON.....
